چکیده
Recently, a novel approach with excellent performance based on the concept of characteristic infiltration time, time method (CTM), is proposed to infer soil sorptivity (S) and saturated hydraulic conductivity (Ks) from one-dimensional (1D) cumulative infiltration. The current work provides simplified version CTM, called SCTM, by eliminating necessity iteration used in CTM providing similar accuracy as original when estimating S Ks. We both synthetic experimental data evaluate SCTM comparison well Sharma (SH) curve-fitting methods. In case synthetically simulated experiments, predicted Ks values showed an agreement their theoretical values, Nash–Sutcliffe (E) higher than 0.9 RMSE 0.11 cm h1/2 0.35 h–1, respectively. data, E larger 0.73 0.64 robustness was comparable applied curves data. Inverse Estimation of Soil Hydraulic and Solute Transport Parameters from Transient Field Experiments: Heterogeneous Soil
While inverse parameter estimation techniques for determining key parameters affecting water flow and solute transport are becoming increasingly common in saturated and unsaturated zone studies, their application to practical problems, such as irrigation, have received relatively little attention. In this article, we used the Levenberg–Marquardt optimization algorithm in combination with the HY...

Estimation of soil hydraulic and solute transport parameters is important to provide input parameters for numerical models simulating transient water ̄ow and solute transport in the vadose zone. The Levenberg±Marquardt optimization algorithm in combination with the HYDRUS-1D numerical code was used to inversely estimate unsaturated soil-hydraulic and solute transport parameters from transient m...
متن کاملThe Investigation of the Estimation Precision of Infiltration Equation Parameters Based on Soil Physics Characteristics for Furrow Irrigation
Furrow irrigation is the most common method of surface irrigation. However, the accurate estimation of the soil water infiltration equation is the most important challenge for evaluating this method of irrigation. In this study, a fast and simple method that is named soil intake families and presented by USDA-NRCS (RSIF), evaluated for estimation of the Kostiakove-lewis infiltration equation pa...

Nowadays, the Beerkan computational algorithms (BESTslope and BESTsteday) are known as the suitable indirect methods for estimating soil saturated hydraulic conductivity (Ks) and sorptivity (S), as well as the scale parameter (hg) in van Genuchten soil water retention equation through the data collected in the Beerkan infiltration experiment and other required data. The purpose of this study wa...
